Kids Zone

Because parents deserve the opportunity to participate, too.

We know that access to child supervision can be the difference between a woman being able to participate and having to sit an event out. The 5K with ME Kids Zone gives parents a supervised space for their children while they participate in race-day activities, with engaging activities, snacks and volunteers focused on keeping kids safe, active and connected.

8:30 AM Drop-Off Begins

Parents may begin checking children into the Kids Zone at 8:30 AM.

9:00 AM 1-Mile Participants

Children participating in the 1-Mile should be checked into the Kids Zone by 9:00 AM.

Kids Zone volunteers will help escort participating children to the 1-Mile start line.

11:00 AM Pickup Deadline

All children must be picked up from the Kids Zone no later than 11:00 AM.

What happens in the Kids Zone?

  • Supervised play and engaging race-morning activities
  • Snacks for children during the morning
  • Attentive volunteers with intentionally small supervision groups
  • Support for children participating in the 1-Mile
  • After the 1-Mile, children will be brought back to the Kids Zone for continued supervision until pickup

For parents of 1-Mile participants

Please check your child into the Kids Zone by 9:00 AM. Our team will coordinate getting participating children to the start line. After they finish, they will be escorted back to the Kids Zone, where they will remain until an authorized parent or guardian picks them up.
